Megan I would just like to say I am sorry for all that you have had to endure, That is a very scary thought for any female and mother to have to encounter. I am a young mother and it is terrifying to know that people would do that because of racism... It really scares me because all 3 of my children are bi-racial and the thought of someone doing any of those things to them scares me beyond belief... But seeing you smile and knowing that you arent a victim but a survivor and someone standing up for your rights gives me the strength to teach my children what is right and how to handle things... I would like to thank you from one young woman to another...
God Bless you, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers...

The torture which took place in that run down shed and trailer is disgusting and even more so the fact that mother’s let their children do that to someone else’s child. Megan Williams you have endured more in that week than most people will in a lifetime. I do not know the circumstances that brought you in contact with these people but I feel that if you went willing you should share you story with other young women. I do not blame you at all but leaving to an undisclosed location with people you are not familiar with is a habit that I and many of my friends have done and your circumstances could have easily become ours. There are some truly appalling and deviant people in this world and you were captured by 6 of them.

I do not know the legal process well and I do not know long of a sentence these people will get but I see no reason for any one of them to blemish society again.

Megan it was good to see you smile…you have been on mind and I have no other remark than I am sorry for what happened to you and not everyone in the state of West Virginia tolerates racism. You are young and beautiful and I hope life brings grand prospects for you.

As the tears flow I want to express my faith that justice does prevail but this world is not our home, we're just passing through.  Stay strong and allow God to do His work in you.  My experience in life is, God has allowed me to suffer so that I may be a witness to others who are going through the same thing.  God bless you now and always.

This video brought tears to my eyes.  The torture Megan was put through is unimaginable.  I don't understand how there are people out there that can do this.  It's beyond me.  I just don't get it.  My prayers are with Megan and her family.

I have been writing about abuse for awhile now, mostly poetry. People the world over need to discover: The US has a very violent society in a lot of ways. We not only war with other countries, we war with our families, our neighbors and our loved ones.

Justice is in the hands of money. I'm not defending the Panthers, cuz I haven't spoken with those on this 'case.' But, if they can bring money to this issue, better it will go.

Thank you to all who have posted comments in this guestbook in 2007.  The MEGAN WILLIAMS story was probably one of the biggest stories of 2007 and thousands of you have showed your support.  Drew, you're correct in your views.  The case has someone taken a "political" turn and that is so unfortunate.  I've always been vocal about the fact that Megan was being used by MANY people to support their own agendas.  It's the world we live in, but at the end of the day the Megan Williams story brought us all closer to our own realities of where the world stands on issues of race in this country.

Its amazing that the color of a person's skin still causes so much division in the world.  If we get cut, we all bleed the same. There are many lessons for us all in the Megan Williams tragedy, but will we learn them?

I wish each and everyone of you a blessed 2008 and I look forward to you stopping by.  It's time that we lift one another up instead of tearing eachother down.

Happy Holidays
Phyllis

I would like to say that I am so glad to know that you survived. You are a strong woman! I received an email passing around what happened to you and I was in shock as I read it. Then I decided to google about it and found your page. As I watched the video, tears came to my eyes. My heart breaks because what they did was wrong. Never in my life did I think that people could be so cruel to another human being. I know that God will deal with them the way they're suppose to be dealt with and I that they will be punished! I will keep you in my prayers as the healing process from this will be a rough road but you are a SURVIVOR and for that, I'm proud of you. You didn't give up and you'll continue to make it through this.
**Much Love**
