Where are you from? Seattle, OR Comments: I'm a 58 yo white woman who thinks these charges should be filed as hate crimes. The parents in this case have neglected this woman who apprently suffers from a mental challege. Even if she lived on her own away from the parents how can one month go by without a word from your child? no one is talking about that. These are monsters who have numerous prior convictions and apparently fought regarly with one another. I dont know much about the black panters other then they are a hate group. None is talking about that either. I hope this new rally doesnt bring more trouble as the jena case has done in Lousiana. Why can't we get along? Aren't we all god children.
Where are you from? Southern, California Comments: Shondra & Scott, Both of you make valid points on this case. I've gone over all reports; the initial police report from Smoking Gun, the September 8 police report taken at Logan Hospital, and the most recent statements from Final Call, as well as the Logan Banner "Opinion" which included information that was updated after all of these reports were made public. I've concluded that Megan not only had a relationship with Bobby Brewster, I really believe at one time she may have been living at the Brewster trailer home. The reason I say this is because there was a July incident where Megan Williams was named in the police report and Bobby Brewster was charged with "domestic battery" That's the key word "domestic" If she was not living at the home, it would have been written up as aggravated battery. None of this validates what they did to her, but by lieing about the relationship with Bobby Brewster, it makes people question what else she may be lieing about. The Big Creek 6 will go down, no doubt - her physical injuries corrobarate her testimony. The mother states Megan was not living with her when the incident occurred but doesn't say where she was living, and doesn't say she was living on her own. We know she didn't have any money, a car, or a job. In order to obtain hate crime charges legally, it would have to be a random act. We know it wasn't. She was led there under false pretenses by her so called friend and yes I believe it was a set-up, as Carmen Williams stated. The domestic charges in July against Bobby Brewster provide the evidence she was there before. In the Final Call interview when asked if she recognized the house when she arrived there with Christa, Megan replied, "No." That's just not true. I applaud the prosecutor in this case because he immediately went after these sick a-- people and he is going after the stiffest penalty - kidnap. She was lured there, and they refused to let her go so that makes it kidnap. That carries a life sentence. Malik Shabazz wants hate crime charges filed. The D.A. has stated numerous times that hate crime charges could be filed at a later date but that he wanted to concentrate on the stiffer sentences first. I just want to know why attempted murder was not included in the charges. So yes, we keep on praying for justice and healing in this case. Megan Williams is a strong young woman because she survived. She may have made some bad choices, but the bottom line is that she survived.

Atlanta Comments: In response to the last brother who commented on the Megan Williams case, I too am concerned this family has no one representing them, or speaking for them in the media. I've been following this case closely through this website and other blogs, and I believe they (Nation of Islam, Black Panthers) were the first to show up in Virginia and the family attached themselves. I don't know this for certain but it appears this way to me. The family minister I believe is Muslim. I watched one of the videos and he has an African accent. I've also read the police reports from Logan police and the new statements published today. There is something wrong with these statements. They differ. I personally believe she did have a relationship with Bob Brewster and she was at the home before. She does suffer from a mental disability but I don't believe it would cause her to lie. This young woman is from the foster care system. I'd imagine her life was riddled with pain and she was adopted by the Williams family at the age of 16 according to reports. While she did not deserve the brutalness from the Brewsters, she still must account for knowing the suspect before this event. Prior police reports have been filed. This diminishes the hate crime theory and if they aren't careful it may hurt this case. I enjoy your website and the kindness you're showing this family. May Megan Williams find peace in her healing and return to as normal a life as she can. We continue in prayer. May God have the final word.

No diss to islam but WTF What the mf did her was wack but she was at the house before but she say he aint her man. ok cool but didnt he beat her up before like July. The police report say she never been there before didnt knwo the people. Tghe rally been changed again to november. I got an email from my cousin sending a link to your video on UTUBE and I followed that link to this website and then followed the link to Ms Williams. I haven't been able to find much on this case until now. You have everything so detailed and organized. It's absolutely amazing. I called my cousin and we talked about this case and you, in detail. My heart cries for this girl. She mentally disabled and I bet they took advantege of her. I told y cousin Shannon and I shouold send your link to CNN then she told me, 'She already has alink that CNN put on their website.' You make me proud to be a sista - sista, god belss you.

Where are you from? Palmdale, CA Comments: I wanted to say how much I enjoy your website and what your doing for the younglady from West Virginia. I find your comments relevant, compassionate and thank you for the updates. I haven't heard much about this case until visiting your webste. We must pray without cease for this woman and her family. The UTube video was powerful and a reminder we as parents must be vigilant in protecting our children by knowing where they are, what they doing. We can't stand against this mother as you say we dont know her situation, but I find it horrible she said her daughter run off for weeks at a time. It in gods hand and he will provide justice.
